These sentences only give you an introduction to communicating in the Spanish language. It introduces you to a few terms that Spanish speaking people use while they are at the kitchen, although the meaning of terms may vary a bit when translated, it is more or less contextually same, so you would not have a complete misunderstanding when speaking to others in the kitchen.
En cual temperatura se necesita poner el horno?
Meaning: At what temperature does the oven need to be set?
You can use the word cual to question as to which or what has to be used.
Mezcla todo los ingredientes en un traste.
Meaning: Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.
This of course must be one of the most used phrases while communicating in the kitchen irrespective of the language. It simply means “mix all the ingredients” and is mostly used in many Spanish recipe books.
La leche esta en el refigerador.
Meaning: The milk is in the refrigerator.
This would be the most probable answer if you ask a Spanish speaking person as to “where the bottle of milk is?” it is to be noted that the translation is a straightforward one milk is called leche in Spanish.
Despues de la cena lave los trastes.
Meaning: After dinner I washed the dishes.
This translation shows how you have to speak two things in an order in Spanish, note that this way of speaking is quite different from the way we would put two different things in the chronological order in English.
Spanish is quite a different language than English, in a sense, even though some of the words remain common, their meaning differ to a large extent and for this reason it becomes critical for anyone to learn common words in Spanish before starting a conversation with anyone is Spanish, this is very crucial especially in the kitchen, we would end up embarrassing ourselves if we communicate something with good intention and turns up bad in Spanish.
